Harvest Offering 2024

Above & Beyond

The Harvest Offering is a yearly opportunity for us to give above & beyond our regular giving to support strategic projects all over the world. Join us when we give out of our abundance in gratitude to God's abundant provision.

You can give to Harvest Offering anytime online through December 31.

Goal

$171,700*

*While this target figure is significantly higher than previous years, there is already around $47K in seed money in the Harvest fund from previous years. This brings our goal to about $125,000 in new giving.

Projects

Projects are funded in order of listing.

1. Security Fencing for CityView Church in Cleveland (Dockery)
Funding Level: $9,400

The Dockerys are part of a solid gospel preaching church in the heart of urban Cleveland. They have had several incidents of vandalism, and fencing would allow them to properly care for church vehicles and other church property.

2. Updated Technology for Providing Theological Education (Blumenstock)
Funding Level: $14,000

Asia Biblical Theological Seminary is strategically positioned to provide theological education for many spiritually antagonistic and war-torn countries in Asia. This project will help provide recording equipment and cameras for producing excellent and easily accessible classroom presentations for both
in-person and virtual instruction.

3. Resources and Training for Ministry to Women in Thailand (Blumenstock)
Funding Level: $3,000

Karen Blumenstock has launched “Hard to Hope” – a ministry that seeks to address the physical and spiritual health of low-income Thai women. The project will help cover the cost of gym equipment rental and the cost of Karen’s Crossfit certification training.

4. Modular Ministry Education & Training in Central Asia (D&S)
Funding Level: $12,000

Ministry leaders in this area are young, passionate followers of Christ with very little biblical education or training. The project would cover the cost of four modules – including site rental, meals, written and verbal translations, printed materials, in-country transportation and lodging.

5. Training for Christian Educators in Asia (Youngman)
Funding Level: $8,800

The Kaifa Network’s partner schools have teachers who are dedicated to Christ. But they lack the credentials and training to teach with a distinctively Christian worldview. Cedarville University is willing to help produce video-based training as part of a teacher education certificate program. The project would help cover the video production costs for this training.

6. Framing for a New Two-Bedroom Cottage (Scioto Hills Camp)
Funding Level: $40,000

In response to changing camp dynamics, Scioto is seeking to add lodging options that are designed for families and adult ministry. This project would cover the framing cost of a two bedroom cottage – including foundation, septic, floors, walls, windows, doors, and roof.

7. Pop-Up Medical Clinic in Dominican Republic (McDonald)
Funding Level: $18,000

Women at Risk International (WAR) seeks to bring the hope of the gospel to vulnerable and trafficked women across the globe. The project would cover the cost of a pop-up medical clinic in the DR that would extend the reach of local ministries, and would cover in-country transportation, medicine and medical supplies, food for patients, medical translators, and support for pastors.

8. Theological Training Center in Hyderabad (I&G)
Funding Level: $50,000

The Delhi Bible Institute has established twelve theological training centers in north India – places of spiritual refuge, retreat or study. The project would help establish a center in the central Indian city of Hyderabad, and would involve the construction of two classrooms and two dormitories (with dormitory furniture).

9. Providing Access to Faith-Based Recovery Programs (Emerge Recovery)
Funding Level: $7,000

Emerge Recovery is a faith-based organization in Yellow Springs that helps men who are caught in patterns of substance abuse and addiction. Emerge provides lodging, meals, vocational training, and transportation to and from their places of employment. The project would keep their transport vehicle running properly by covering maintenance costs and major repairs.

10. Cedarcliff Schools Food Sponsorships (Feed the ‘Ville)
Funding Level: $7,000

Many school age children (grades K-9) in Greene County do not have enough to eat over the weekend. Feed the ‘Ville provides healthy non-perishable food to 40-45 children in the Cedarville community. Enrolled students receive a bag of food each Friday to take home. This project would provide food sponsorship for 25 children this school year.

11. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) (Cedarville Senior Center)
Funding Level: $2,500

The Senior Center provides a place where senior citizens in our community can connect and find resources. The project would allow for the purchase and installation of a defibrillator.
